Phil Lieberman, MD, is currently Clinical Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics in the Departments of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics (Divisions of Allergy and Immunology) at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis, Tennessee.

He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Medicine and also received his internal medicine training at this institution. He completed his allergy/immunology fellowship at Northwestern University.

Dr. Lieberman is former President of both the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the American Association of Certified Allergists. He has also served on the Board of Directors of the American Board of Allergy and Immunology.

He is the author of over 225 scientific publications and is co-editor of the text Allergic Diseases. His present investigative interests are in the fields of asthma and anaphylaxis.

Scott H. Sicherer, MD

Scott H. Sicherer, MD, is Professor of Pediatrics at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and a researcher in the Jaffe Food Allergy Institute at Mount Sinai. He is Chief of the Division of Pediatric Allergy and Immunology.

Dr. Sicherer received his medical degree with honors from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and his pediatric training, including a chief residency, at Mount Sinai in New York City. He completed a fellowship in allergy and immunology at Johns Hopkins, and then returned to Mount Sinai as a member of the faculty.

He is board certified in Pediatrics and in Allergy and Immunology, and specializes in food allergies. His research interests, funded by the National Institutes of Health's Food Allergy Initiative and the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network, include allergic diseases caused by specific foods (such as peanuts, tree nuts, egg, seafood, and milk), the natural history of food allergy, atopic dermatitis, gastrointestinal manifestations of food allergies, epidemiology of food allergy, psychosocial issues associated with food allergies, modalities to educate physicians and parents about food allergy, food allergy treatments, and the genetics of food allergy.

Dr. Sicherer has published more than 100 articles in scientific journal and has authored numerous book chapters in major pediatric and allergy textbooks. He is a medical advisor to the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network and the Food Allergy Initiative. He is past-Chair of the Adverse Reactions to Foods Committee of the Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, and current Chair of the Section on Allergy and Immunology of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is Associate Editor of the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, and is an editor for UpToDate. He has authored a children's book on food allergy, Maya and Andrew Learn About Food Allergies, co-authored a book about peanut allergy, The Complete Peanut Allergy Handbook, and completed a comprehensive book about food allergy for parents, Understanding and Managing Your Child's Food Allergies.

He has been consistently recognized as a "Top Doctor" by Castle-Connolly/New York Magazine. He lectures extensively on food allergy topics to various professional and lay organizations and has had numerous television and radio appearances to discuss food allergy.

Vivian Hernandez-Trujillo, MD, is Director of the Division of Allergy and Immunology at Miami Children's Hospital and Assistant Clinical Professor at Herbert Watheim College of Medicine at Florid International University in Miami, Florida.

She received her medical degree from Albany Medical College in New York and completed the three-year medical pediatric residency program at Miami Children's Hospital. She graduated from the Allergy and Immunology Fellowship Training Program at the University of Tennessee, Memphis, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and LeBonheur Children's Medical Center.

Dr. Hernandez-Trujillo is board certified by both the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. She has been the recipient of numerous awards for her dedication, academic achievement, and accomplishments. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, and the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Hernandez-Trujillo has conducted basic laboratory research on B cell immune deficiency and has performed clinical studies on peanut allergy and anaphylaxis. She has made presentations and published numerous articles on the topics of primary immunodeficiencies, anaphylaxis, immunology, allergy and allergens, antihistamines, and allergic rhinitis. Her focus on prevention has resulted in multiple opportunities to speak nationally and internationally on these topics. She led a national survey on the recognition and treatment of anaphylaxis by pediatric emergency medicine physicians.
